Aunt Birdie

Aunt Birdie seldom rested on this five day adventure.

Aunt Birdie in jail at Silver Dollar City.

Whew, these huge steps would be awfully tough for an OLD person, said Birdie. We sure did have a terrific time with her. Posted by Picasa

Chris and Children

This is our daughter and her little family before our trip. Too bad Steve wasn't home from work so the whole family would of been in it. Looks like Missy likes to feel Matts spikey haircut! Posted by Picasa

Our Grandchildren

Matt and Missy keep their parents busy.

Their dog is named Jasmine; Jazzy for short. She is one year old and much gentler now.
Matt now has two spaces for his two front teeth. He still talks quite well!

Both of the kids love their dog and she is very protective of them.

Notice Missy has her shoes on backward. This Grandma always buys things too big, and she doesn't even notice the difference! Posted by Picasa

Hiking Trails

These are a few of the sites we see when we are doing trails along the St. Croix River. Lots of tiny birds in the ravenes and large raptors along the open water. The bridge is along the North Loop Trail at Carpenter's Orchard.

This is the climb out of the ravene from along the river bank. Just love those trekking poles!

These stairs lead to the river walk along the St. Croix. We like the rough one going through the woods.

The tree is at the base of the stairs nearing the beach and boat dock. It is so huge. Posted by Picasa

MS Tram Bike-a-thon

Our friends biked 300 miles in the state ms tram bike-a-thon. Wow what dedicated people. The tent city that filled the park was so cool. We sure had a great visit with our friends. Posted by Picasa

MS TRAM Ride

We recently had some friends ride through town on their five day MS Tram bikathon. The pictures show just how many dedicated people we have fighting this terrible disease. They were doing an average of 60 miles a day and in the intense heat of high 90's. Hope you enjoy their pics. We sure had fun visiting with them.

Hiking

Willy and I are becoming hikers! We have been hiking the river trails in the state parks and the apple orchards back here. Love those treking poles; they really helped today. We did 5.8 miles on Sat. and 6.4 miles today. Blogging will be my goal for this year so you will be seeing pics of places that we hike and camp at.

We'll get this going

Never too old to enter the blogging world, here come gramma and grampa!!
